Leo Clubs are comprised of youths, ages 12 to 28 who are dedicated making a difference in their community. Sponsored by a Lions Club each Leo Club elects its own officers, scheduled its own meetings and selects its own fund-raisers an service projects. The Leo Club Program provides the youth of the world with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national, and international community. Participation in the Leo Club Program enhances the lives of young people.

 

As active community members, Leos learn the true meaning of the Leo club motto

 â€“ Leadership, experience and opportunity

 

Leadership – Leos develop skills as organizers, time managers, and motivators of their peers.

Experience – Leos learn the importance of cooperation through the performance of community service.

Opportunity – Membership in a Leo club provides young people with a chance to excel, to develop character traits, and to receive recognition for their contributions to the community.

 

Leo Club of Ktm. Bagmati has been actively involved in community service since its establishment in Leoistic Year 1994-1995 till date. Today, it is the largest Leo Club in Leo district 325 A with young, energetic, motivated & committed members from varied fields. Health camps, various programs for children from slums, orphanage homes, mentally and physically handicaped children, blood donation, comunity awareness on health and environment, movement against drugs are some examples of the program we have every year in and around Kathmandu valley.
